The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Azour (9-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Al Riyadi (9-1)

68-59. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Azour. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Al Riyadi forced 25 Azour turnovers. Strangely Azour outrebounded Al Riyadi 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward DaNasia Hood (185-2000, college: Texas St., agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Rebecca Akl (170-1992) who added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American-Angolan guard Italee Lucas (172-1989, college: UNC) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Al Riyadi have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Azour. Al Riyadi will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Azour will play against Almtayleb and is hoping to win this game.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Sporting B. (5-5) played at the court of 7th ranked NSA (3-7). Sporting B. defeated NSA 85-72. The winners were led by American guard Tynice Martin (180-1997, college: WVU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Sandra Beddawi supported her with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Even a double-double of 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists by Ukrainian Olesia Malashenko (191-1991) did not help to save the game for NSA. Sporting B. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Champs. NSA at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Almtayleb.
10th ranked Hoops (1-9) were outscored at home by third ranked Homentmen (8-2) with the biggest margin this round 91-68 on Wednesday night. The best player for the winners was Jillian Archer who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds. Lyndsey Whilby produced 20 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Homentmen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-2 record behind leader Al Riyadi. Hoops lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. They share the position with Antranik.

In the last two games of round 8 Almtayleb lost to Club Beirut on the opponent's court 51-59. Champs managed to outperform Antranik in a home game 57-41.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points and 12 rebounds by Tina Stephens of Champs.
