The agency said the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has completed preliminary assessments, and the disabled aircraft has been recovered to the International Aviation College premises.

FAAN added that operations in and out of General Tunde Idiagbon International are back to normal.

In 2023, the federal government named 15 airports across the country after some prominent Nigerians, including former President Muhammadu Buhari and the late Tunde Idiagbon.

Idiagbon was the chief of staff supreme headquarters (second-in-command) when Buhari was the military head of state from 1983 to 1985.
