Popular TikToker Lexy Montana has opened up about her life-changing decision to convert to Islam at just 22 years old.

In a viral TikTok video, she disclosed that the move was inspired by love and gratitude after meeting a man who transformed her life.

Lexy, who scored a C- in her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, said her dreams of joining college quickly faded due to financial hardship.

Determined to survive, she turned to hustling, trying her luck in acting and later landing a job at a local barbershop.

However, acting didn’t bring in the money she hoped for, and she had to survive, so she settled for the barbershop job.

As much as the money wasn't much, she still used part of it to take care of herself as she wanted to look and feel good.

Her life took a turn when she met a man who would become her greatest supporter and eventually, her husband.

The man, who is 18 years her senior, began helping her financially and emotionally. From gifting her perfumes and handbags to providing upkeep money, he became a pillar in her life.

“He treated me with respect and made me feel special,” she wrote, sharing photos of the gifts he bought her.

The two fell in love quickly, but the relationship hit a stumbling block when marriage plans came up: Lexy was a Christian, and her boyfriend a devout Muslim.

Rather than walk away, Lexy made a bold decision: she converted to Islam, not just for him, but also because she found peace in the faith.

At 22, Lexy got married to her 40-year-old lover in a quiet ceremony, transforming her from a broke girl hustling in Nairobi’s backstreets to a confident young woman with a stable home.

She says her life now is focused on faith, love, and self-growth. And while critics may question her decisions, Lexy is unapologetic.
