and Manchester City was a thrilling 4-0 win for Spurs, who have shown they can hammer anybody on their day.

Furthermore, Spurs could make it three wins in a row against Man City this season, having also beaten them in the League Cup.

Tottenham’s campaign has been up and down, but with their injury crisis now easing, they have won their last three Premier League games.

Meanwhile, Man City are a shadow of the team that swept to four consecutive Premier League titles and the treble in 2022/23.

However, they still carry a threat and Omar Marmoush has shown he can be devastating on his day, as was the case against Newcastle.

Chris Sutton has now predicted how Tottenham and Man City will fare in Wednesday night’s 7:30pm kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Sutton acknowledged that Tottenham v Man City is a very difficult game to call, because both teams have been so unpredictable this season.

And though Spurs ran out 4-0 winners at the Etihad Stadium last time out, Sutton reckons Man City will stop the Lilywhites from doing the treble on them this season.

“How on earth am I supposed to predict what will happen here?” Sutton wrote on BBC Sport.

“It’s a fascinating game but it’s impossible to call because it could end up 3-0 to either team.

“Manchester City were subdued against Liverpool and while Jeremy Doku looked bright on their left flank, they didn’t offer much of a threat elsewhere.

“Tottenham put four goals past Ipswich but they could have conceded a few themselves, and you have to think City will have opportunities here.

“Spurs thumped Pep Guardiola’s side 4-0 in November, but I am going for City to take the points this time. It will be close but they might just nick it.”

Sutton went on to predict a 2-1 win for Man City.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou revealed ahead of the game that there are no fresh injury concerns for his side.

In addition, Postecoglou is expecting Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Dominic Solanke and Richarlison to return from injury within the next week to ten days.

Meanwhile, Man City will hope to have Erling Haaland back for the Spurs game after missing his side's last two matches.

John Stones is out with a thigh injury and could require surgery, while Manuel Akanji is set to miss two months after going under the knife himself.
