But Grealish was omitted from the starting XI for the 10th consecutive Premier League match and has not started in the competition since the 21st December clash against his old club Aston Villa.

Grealish had been forced off with an injury after starting against Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League tie earlier this month.

However, his injury wasn’t serious and he was able to make the squad in the following games against Newcastle and Madrid but was omitted from the starting XI and had not featured since.

It has been a stop-start season for the winger, but he played a key role in City’s first-leg battle with Madrid before being substituted off. Despite his struggles, his minute-cameo against Tottenham marked a significant milestone for him at the club.

Grealish marked a significant moment in his City career as he marked 150 appearances, taking to Instagram to acknowledge the achievement. He shared a post with the caption: "Blessed. What a club”.

Since joining City in 2021, Grealish has faced criticism for not consistently replicating the form he showed at Aston Villa. While the milestone is worth celebrating, his output has been questioned, with just 16 goals and 23 assists during his time at the Etihad.

He has started just six Premier League games this season, and his output has also been underwhelming with just two goals in all competitions, providing five assists in 1229 minutes of action.

With growing competition from Jeremy Doku and Savinho, Grealish has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot this season. His role has become more rotational, and some Man City supporters have voiced frustration over Grealish and his lack of impact compared to his attacking rivals.
