'The Young And The Restless' Spoilers: How Will Mishael Morgan's (Amanda Sinclair) Return Shake Up Genoa City-Aristotle Dumas Her Client?

Published 2 weeks ago4 minute read

‘The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Mishael Morgan’s return as Amanda Sinclair is likely to shake up Genoa City.

There is much speculation that Amanda’s high-powered client is Aristotle Dumas. The legal eagle is set to return to town on Friday, May 16th.

Amanda usually represents influential clients, and the man on everyone’s mind lately is the mysterious Dumas.

The name Aristotle Dumas has been dropped so many times in recent months that we could turn it into a drinking game. However, we don’t recommend it as it could easily lead to alcohol poisoning!

Victor Newman (Eric Braden) recently took a dig at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) after his meetings with Dumas were canceled.

Billy contacted Dumas and asked him for a meeting ASAP. He thinks this elusive figure is the key to Abbott Communications’ success and taking down Victor once and for all.

Aristotle may have hired the legal expertise of Amanda Sinclair. The man doesn’t seem to like face-to-face meetings. Aristotle has built up such a reputation for his shady dealings and refusal to reveal himself that Amanda could serve as a means of communication.

Amanda could be the go-between for Dumas and Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Lily has been probing Damien Kane (Jermaine Rivers) for answers concerning Aristotle. The man of the moment himself should soon make an appearance of his own in Genoa City.

It would be intriguing if Amanda showed up in Aristotle’s place when meeting Billy. The two of them flirted and shared a kiss years ago, but decided they were better off as friends.

Amanda is also slated to bump into Abby Newman Winters (Melissa Ordway) during her time in Genoa City, which is bound to be substantially juicy considering Devon Winters (Bryton James) cheated on Amanda with Abby and subsequently married her.

Amanda and Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) should also make time for a cocktail or two. Phyllis could use some friendly support after her kidnapping ordeal and after Billy fired her from Abbott Communications.

Amanda and Phyllis became very close before she left town, and considering that Phyllis had recently written off Billy after his tough decision to let her go so she could heal from her trauma, Phyllis needed all the friends she could get.

Amanda’s return could also spark old feelings between her and Devon, just long enough for it to cause issues in Abby and Devon’s newly minted marriage.

Since Phyllis and Abby have never gotten along, Phyllis would likely encourage her beautiful and brilliant lawyer friend to go for it.

TV Line recently interviewed Mishael Morgan, and she discussed her fondness for Y&R and her character.

“It’s surprisingly easy to slip back into Amanda. I think I made her so different from Hilary (Amanda’s late twin sister) that I’m not slipping into Hilary, but I am trying to continue to grow in Amanda.”

Morgan also explained,

“When I started on Y&R, I really took to the soap because I felt like it was the perfect playground for me to hone my craft and work those muscles every single day.”

She continued,

“So now that I’ve done that for almost ten years and I’ve left, every time I go back, I feel like it’s such a great opportunity to stretch those muscles again and practice on this safe space with an amazing fanbase that love us and allow us to play.”

She concluded,

“Then I can go off and take all that I’ve learned and put it into different characters. So, it really is a dream.”

Whether Amanda really represents Aristotle Dumas remains to be seen, but either way, it’s always fun to see Amanda pop into Genoa City now and again.
