Craig Robinson is expanding his repertoire.
The Office alum, 53, teased a new calling on Instagram recently, in a video post shared with fans that he captioned, "Life update: I’m officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling. Stay tuned. I’m working on something huge. 👀."
Robinson addressed fans in the clip, "Hey, everybody! Just wanted you to hear it from me: I am quitting comedy. But not for nothing — it's been an amazing run, and y'all have been amazing and wonderful, but I'm following something bigger."
"So thank you so much," concluded the actor, comedian and musician. "I love you, and stay tuned."
He followed up with another post asking fans for advice on small-business ownership, saying he "hit a few bumps in the road" on his quest and writing in the caption, "Turns out having a dream and building a business with your friends are two VERY different things. I can’t go into detail just yet, but for real though any help would be huge."
Among the bevy of comments on Robinson's original post was one from Howie Mandel, who joked, "Being a dancer is tough, but go for it ❤️."
"You been called to preach? 'If loving you is wroo0ng, - - - I don’t wanna be riiiiiight'! #getitdawg #goodluck 🍀," wrote Arsenio Hall.
"I hope it involves Music! You’re brilliant at whatever you chose to do," David Arquette chimed in.
Others made reference to Robinson's beloved character on The Office, Darryl Philbin, with one fan quipping, "Opening a warehouse for paper perchance??"
Wrote his The Office costar Kate Flannery, "We love you, craig!!! Go big, my friend!!! ❤️❤️❤️."
Robinson did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Thursday, July 3.

Aside from The Office, Robinson is indeed best known for his comedic roles, including on TV in The Cleveland Show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Ghosted and more.
The actor has also flexed his comedy chops in movies like Pineapple Express (2008), Hot Tub Time Machine (2010), This Is the End (2013), Sausage Party (2016) and Dolemite Is My Name (2019).
Robinson has also been part of the funk/hip-hop/R&B band The Nasty Delicious since 2007. And on Vulture’s Good One podcast in April 2022, he said, "When I am with the band, I feel like I can fly — like being at an Earth, Wind & Fire concert. Sometimes I’m a straight musician, sometimes I’m doing comedy and music, sometimes it’s straight comedy and the band is quiet. It’s all-encompassing."
"It’s the best — just the freedom of all of that. I’ve cried directing the band," Robinson added at the time. "There are moments where my emotions get the best of me while conducting and performing, and that’s incredible."
