Tenorboy drops emotional visuals for 'Oyi

Nigerian Afrobeats rising star, Kelechi Benjamin Nwachukwu, known as Tenorboy,, has released the official music video for his hit single “Oyi”.

The music video, which was released during on Friday, has drawn attention for its visual quality and heartfelt storyline centred on young love and vulnerability.

Tenorboy, a 23-year-old singer from Ojo, Lagos State, described the video as a “love letter” and a window into his vulnerable side.

“This video is my love letter. Oyi came from a real place. The visuals had to match the emotion. I wanted the world to see the softer side of me that people don’t usually get to see,” he said.

The video features warm-toned lighting, urban backdrops, and close-up shots that highlight the raw emotions behind the song.
Many fans say the visuals perfectly reflect the song’s romantic message and deepen its meaning.

“Oyi”, already trending on TikTok and streaming platforms, is the lead single from Tenorboy’s self-titled debut EP. It has quickly become popular among Gen Z fans, who have described it as a fresh take on Afrobeats with a soft, modern twist.
