'Teen Mom' News Pile: Amber Portwood Says She's Made Up with Catelynn Lowell; Catelynn Disputes Fans' Claims That Her 3 Other Kids Are Neglected in Favor of Carly & More - The Ashley's Reality Roundup

From making up with friends, to making more babies, it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the Teen Mom franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest , and Teen Mom 2 news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.
Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…

“Um…Amber, YOU were the one who flipped ME off but OK…”
Weeks after Amber announced that her longtime friends and co-stars Catelynn and Maci had “turned on” her for “money,” the TikTok-crazed ‘Teen Mom’ star is claiming that she has since made amends with Cate.
As The Ashley previously reported, Amber announced during one of her many (many) TikTok Lives in early May that the girls were no longer her friends, because they chose “money” (and presumably the show) over their friendship.
“You guys, they turned on me, too,” Amber said of Maci and Catelynn. “For money…they turned on me for money.”

This week, Amber— who now spends as much time Live on TikTok as she does her trusty couch— told viewers on a Live that Catelynn had reached out to her after hearing Amber say that the girls had turned on her for money.
(For some reason, Amber was making it out to be like someone else had stated that Cate and Maci had ‘dropped’ her, even though it was actually Amber herself who announced that news.)
“Not only did Cate not drop me, she sent me a message the next day that literally said, like, ‘Girl, we’ve known each other way too long to be doing this-that-and-the-other,'” Amber said. “…we love each other. Me, Mace and her was the conversation, and that was it. You don’t need to know anything else.”
Just weeks ago, Amber was claiming on TikTok Live that Catelynn and Maci did what they were told by the show’s higher-ups, something she herself was unwilling to do.
“They’re gonna follow the leader. I’m not a follower. I guess that’s the difference, right? I’m not a follower,” Amber continued. “Have you guys not noticed that? For all you haters, I’m not a f**king follower. I don’t follow money. I don’t do that, sorry. I was actually dedicated to this show. Very dedicated. I really wanted to help people. And I did, and I’m still going to.”
Amber had previously been publicly encouraging Catelynn to quit the show (as she had allegedly done). Weeks later, Amber shocked the ‘Teen Mom’ fandom when she flipped off Cate and Maci after a fan mentioned that the girls had been loyal friends to her. The next day, Amber was back on Live, apologizing to her friends for giving them the double bird salute.
It is unknown if Amber and Maci have made amends as well.

Leah recently made a rare comment about her fractured friendship with Kail, whom she (and her kids) became very close to for a time. In an interview this week with OK! magazine covering a variety of topics, Leah was asked where her relationship with Kail stands today, years after she and Kail had a friendship-ending falling out.
Leah at first told the magazine that she’d prefer not to comment on the topic, but then stated that she, Kail and talk on social media, but not often. She then opened up a bit more about where things stand today between her and Kail.
As fans will remember, Kail and Leah got so close that they even vacationed several times together. (One of those trips even resulted in Leah’s sister getting pregnant when she tagged along with the girls on a trip to Costa Rica. As you do…)

Around 2022, Leah and Kail had a falling out. (This was reportedly in part due to Kail getting mad at Leah for being friendly with — whom Kail was battling in court at the time. The blow-up reportedly happened after Leah “liked” one of Briana’s Instagram posts about self-growth.)
Leah went on to confirm this in an Instagram Story she posted in May 2022, stating that she “liked” Briana’s Instagram post after they both went on together and learned a lot about self-growth. However, she stated that Kail got upset over her support of Bri, due to all the hijinks Bri had pulled on Kail prior to that that were unbeknownst to Leah. She also described her once-strong friendship with Kail as “rocky.”
“I was unaware at the time that a fat-shaming situation had occurred between Briana and Kail. It should be known that I don’t and will never support fat shaming or bullying in any way, shape or form,” Leah wrote at the time. “This caused tension and hurt feelings that I hope can one day be resolved.”
It sounds like, unfortunately, things haven’t been resolved between Kail and Leah.

“We did have a really close friendship, and I think that we remain cordial,” Leah told the magazine, adding that the fall-out was really hard for her kids, as well as Kail’s kids. Despite their moms’ fight, Leah said the kids are still friends.
“What I will say is… our children are super close,” Leah. “My children were asking when we went to do the 16th [‘Teen Mom’ anniversary] photoshoot, like, ‘Why isn’t [Kail’s son] Isaac here?’… those are the kids they grew up with, especially Kail’s… we went on vacation together and they were really tight.
“Recently, my children have been like, ‘I really miss Kail’s kids.’ And it shows how close we really were,” she added.
Kail has not responded to Leah’s comments.

Catelynn and Tyler recently addressed ‘Teen Mom: the Next Chapter’ fans who have expressed that Cate and Ty don’t seem to pay enough attention to the three kids they’re parenting and instead focus on the situation with their bio daughter Carly, whom they have been cut off from by Carly’s parents, and .
During an interview with YouTuber @RealityTVwithRei, the couple made it clear that they are very focused on their three younger daughters— Nova, Vaeda and Rya— despite the fact that MTV chooses not to air much footage from them that does not revolve around the Carly situation.
“We’re engaging with the kids all the time,” Catelynn said, adding that the kids do competitive cheer and other activities that are filmed but not aired. “It’s not my fault that we film a whole bunch of s**t and they just decide to put the Carly stuff in. Why [was it so prevalent] this season? Probably because a lot of stuff happened this year with our adoption so of course they’re going to put that in there.”
The couple stated that, should the show get another season (which, as The Ashley told you, is still not decided as of press time), they plan to stop filming about the Carly situation.
“Tyler and I have also said that if there’s another season and they bring up stuff about Carly [to be filmed], we’re just going to keep it very short, like, ‘Nope, we still haven’t talked.’ And that’s it. You don’t have to know too much about it. If it happens that we have a visit, and [the cameras] want to follow us going to the visit, sure. But as far as talking, ‘negatively’ or like our deep feelings on it, we’re just gonna keep it to ourselves.
“And that is to protect Carly, honestly,” she continued.

In a long letter to Brandon and Teresa (that Cate and Ty posted to their Instagram accounts this week), the couple promised to stop speaking about their personal adoption situation.
“We will always speak about adoption, we just won’t speak about our own adoption story moving forward,” they wrote.
Tyler wrote on his post that they also won’t be speaking about Carly anymore, either, following the airing of Thursday’s episode.

“As I’ve stated before, we won’t be mentioning our biological daughter or her parents anymore & that’s why we’re actually relieved that this episode is airing, so that way we can all just finally move forward,” he wrote
Despite this, Cate and Ty insist that they hope Carly will one day share her story herself.
“I look forward to the day that if that girl ever wants to get up on somewhere and share her story,” Catelynn said during the YouTube interview.
“Even if it means [her saying we’re] ‘the worst people on the planet, they suck, they ruined my life,'” Ty added. “Just let her truth be said loud and clear.”

Almost (exactly) a year after it was revealed that ’s first baby daddy, , was expecting a child with his girlfriend, Kayla’s second baby daddy, , has announced that he, too, will soon have another kid to “grind for.”
The former Young & Pregnant dad recently posted to his Instagram Story that he has “another blessing [on the way in] November 2025.” In the screenshot of Luke’s IG Story that was reposted to Reddit, Luke also confirmed that this “blessing” was not planned.
As fans of ‘Young & Pregnant’ may remember, Luke and Kayla share daughter Ariah. While he and Kayla are no longer together, Luke continues to treat Izaiah— Kayla’s son with Stephan— as his own child.
Kayla previously stated that Luke considers Izaiah to be his son, meanwhile, she has maintained for years that she and Stephan– who was featured on Season 1 of ‘Young & Pregnant’– do not have a co-parenting relationship and that Stephan is not in his son’s life.
As for Kayla, she also added to her family last year, welcoming son Zyaire in March with then-boyfriend Ryan Leigh.
Luke has not revealed the identity of his latest baby mama.
