Starring in HBO’s Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney grabbed the attention of the world with her iconic portrayal as Cassie Howard in the HBO show. What followed was a plethora of Hollywood roles in some iconic movies.

Works like Anyone But You and Immaculate secured a spot for Sweeney to portray serious and romantic roles in Hollywood, as the actress seemed to pick up bigger and better projects. However, not every project was a smooth ride for Sweeney since the actress has had her fair share of terrible experiences while filming s*x scenes.

Filming s*x scenes and scenes involving nudity is nothing new for Sydney Sweeney. The actress has often talked about the double standards of Hollywood and how females are treated worse if they agree to appear in these scenes.

Well, despite being in that situation several times, Sydney Sweeney has never felt uncomfortable while filming any intimate scenes. However, there was one time that the Euphoria star was really uncomfortable.

The irony was that she wasn’t even naked or anything, but it was the context in which director Zu Quike shot the scene that made the whole experience quite uncomfortable during the filming of the 2020 film Nocturne.

The most uncomfortable scene, I would have to say, the s*x scene. I was actually really uncomfortable. It was funny because I kept all my clothes on, but I still felt uncomfortable.

She said to Nylon and further revealed that,

It was also one of the first days, I believe, so I hadn’t really gotten to know anyone or [scene partner] Jacques [Colimon], and it was just diving into this random scene, I was like, ahh.

Although the actress did go through all the efforts to shoot the movie, Nocturne only ended up earning a rating of 5.7/10 on IMDb and a low of 62% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Nude scenes and s*x scenes have been a topic of constant discussions and debate ever since they were featured in Hollywood movies. Although some scenes can be quite crucial to the overall story of the project, not every project requires a nude scene.

That is what Sydney Sweeney was upset about since although she had a damn good role in HBO’s Euphoria, no one was really ready to talk about her acting chops just because she got naked for a couple of scenes.

The actress did find fame through starring in the HBO show, and when she had amassed enough star power and talent, Sweeney became a part of the comedy-drama series The White Lotus.

When she starred in The White Lotus, there was an uproar from the people (the good kind) who hailed Sweeney as one of the finer actions of this generation. However, the actress wasn’t too happy with it.

In an interview with The Independent, the actress revealed that no one really noticed her acting skills while she was filming Euphoria because there were scenes with nudity in it.

With The White Lotus, I felt like people were finally recognising the hard work I’ve been doing. This is something that has bothered me for a while. I’m very proud of my work in Euphoria. I thought it was a great performance. But no one talks about it because I got naked.

She continued,

I do The White Lotus and all of a sudden critics are paying attention. People are loving me. They’re going, ‘Oh my God, what’s she doing next?’ I was like, ‘Did you not see that in Euphoria? Did you not see that in The Handmaid’s Tale?’

Yeah… she was in The Handmaid’s Tale too, wherein she portrayed the role of Eden Blaine. However, it was with The White Lotus that Sydney Sweeney found her due fame from Hollywood, which is a little bit sad.

Despite the fame and talk about nude scenes and s*x, Sweeney has become a busy actress as she is currently associated with 7 upcoming movies and shows, which the world is waiting for.
