Driving a great car on a gorgeous road is unquestionably a good time. It’s what so many of us enthusiasts love doing when we have the time and opportunity. At the same time, it’s vital to exercise good judgment when engaging in such an event.
According to authorities, four people in high-end sports cars seemed to have missed that last bit of advice. They all ended up arrested after allegedly drag racing in Grand Teton National Park on Tuesday. The National Park Service tells Carscoops that the drivers were part of the Nu Rally going through the area at the time.
That might not sound like a huge deal since we’re not talking about an urban sprawl where pedestrians and countless motorists are littered across the area. But the reality is that it might be worse for several reasons. Grand Teton National Park is a special place for more than just the stunning scenery. As a National Park, it draws 3.4 million visitors every year.
On top of that, it’s home to several threatened and endangered species, including gray wolves, grizzly bears, and Canadian lynx. Despite all of those reasons to be extremely careful when behind the wheel, four people just went to jail after allegedly drag racing their high-end cars on Teton Park Road.
The Nu Rally account holders haven’t posted anything about the situation, but did include one brief clip showing a driver pulled over in a recent TikTok video.

Evidently, it took 12 park rangers initiating traffic stops at different areas to catch the offenders. “This kind of behavior is unsafe, irresponsible and completely unacceptable in a national park,” GTNP Superintendent Chip Jenkins said in a statement. “It puts visitors, staff and wildlife at serious risk.”
Without having more details, it’s tough to break this down further than to simply clarify what a bad idea this was. If these folks had simply hit a tree, they could’ve ended up with damage to Federal property. Authorities say that additional charges might come along, too.
We’ve reached out to both the Grand Teton National Park and the National Park Service for additional details. Hopefully, we can learn what charges are pending and what luxury cars these folks were running. Nu Rally entrants appear to be in all sorts of cars, including Porsches and Ferraris. We’ll update you here if and when we learn more.
