As revealed by CAF Online, the tournament will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, marking the first return to East African soil since the 2016 edition held in Rwanda. The group stage will be spread across four different cities, with Zanzibar serving as the base for Group D.
Dar es Salaam’s Benjamin Mkapa Stadium will host the opening match on 2 August 2025, while the third-place playoff will be played in Kampala at the Mandela Stadium. The grand final is scheduled for 30 August 2025 at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.
Match fixtures, ticket details and other logistics are yet to be finalised, but CAF has stated that more information will be communicated in due course through its official channels.
Nigeria’s home-based squad will be looking to improve on their best-ever CHAN performance (a runner-up finish in 2018) as they prepare to test themselves against other strong African opponents in Group D.
