Startup India Mission: Goa Startup Spintly Receives National Recognition for Innovative Smart Access Solutions, ET Government
Goa-backed startup Spintly receives Certificate of Appreciation at Sankalp Se Siddhi celebrations; now valued at ₹300 crore with operations in India and the US.

PANAJI: Spintly, a Goa-based IoT startup focused on simplifying access control for smart buildings, has been honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation under the Startup India Mission during the Sankalp Se Siddhi celebrations - commemorating 11 years of the Modi government and one year of Modi 3.0.
The recognition was conferred by Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant in the presence of IT and Communications Minister Rohan A. Khaunte, who has been instrumental in advancing Goa’s innovation ecosystem. The award highlights Spintly’s contribution to innovation, entrepreneurship, and its journey as one of India’s fastest-scaling IoT ventures.
Founded by engineers Malcolm Dsouza and Rohin Parkar, Spintly began with a mission to streamline access control through wireless, cloud-based technology. Today, the startup serves global clients, operates from India and the U.S., and has raised ₹50 crore in funding. Its current valuation stands at ₹300 crore.
“This recognition reflects the passion and perseverance of our team. Building world-class tech from Goa has always been our vision, and the state gave us both the foundation and the launchpad to grow,” said Malcolm Dsouza, Co-founder and CTO of Spintly.
Spintly was one of the early recipients of Goa’s Seed Capital Scheme under the Startup Policy, administered by the Startup and IT Promotion Cell of the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications. That initial state support enabled product development long before the company attracted venture capital.
Spintly’s success underscores Goa’s emergence as a preferred startup destination, with supportive policies, improving infrastructure, access to funding, and an evolving tech community.
“Goa is no longer just a place to relax—it’s becoming a place to build,” said a senior official from the Startup Promotion Cell.
With this recognition, Spintly becomes a symbol of Goa’s innovation potential and highlights how government-backed startup ecosystems can foster globally relevant technology ventures.
