Juma Hannise Shimano allegedly stabbed his wife, Winnie Akusuha, to death following a domestic dispute that occurred at her parents' home in Musasa.

Information shared by journalist Gwiji Isaiah indicates that the man also died moments later.

The incident has left their three children, a boy and two lovely girls, orphaned.

The couple's lifeless bodies were transported to Jumuia Friends Kaimosi Hospital mortuary as police began investigations.

Many Kenyans were heartbroken after this incident and sympathised with the now-orphaned kids.

Here is what Kenyans had to say:

Eunice Njeri:

"Such a sad ending due to wrong decision-making. I feel for the kids."

Godfrey Angaya Karanja wrote:

"It is excruciating. Go well, my friend and neighbour."

Kiprop Arap Ruttoh said:

"My former student at Kabwareng High School. May they rest in peace."

Nahashon Kiprotich:

"Children are now orphans because of poor conflict resolution methods. Sad."

In another story, Alloyce Ochieng, 24, allegedly hacked his estranged wife, Laurine Ochieng, to death after inviting her to discuss their issues.

Alloyce's mother and neighbours pleaded with him to stop, but he continued the attack, only fleeing after realising Laurine was dead.

Enraged relatives of Laurine set Alloyce's and his mother’s houses on fire, then proceeded to the mortuary after her body was taken.

Like Janet Atieno, the residents urged couples to seek peaceful conflict resolution instead of violence.
