Slab of Sinnar bus stand collapses
Nashik: A section of Sinnar bus stand's extended slab collapsed on Sunday afternoon, damaging a Shivshahi bus and a car that were at a halt just beneath it. The cap-like extended slab covering the main structure of the bus stand collapsed when it was raining heavily in Sinnar for nearly three hours. Senior officers of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and the Sinnar police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident. A senior MSRTC official said, "A Shivshahi bus en route to Thane from Shirdi just arrived when the incident occurred. The collapse impacted platform numbers 1 to 6 of the bus stand, with the slab falling onto the bus and a nearby parked car, causing panic amongst bus stand passengers. Nearly 300 passengers were present at the bus stand. The slab's impact was concentrated on the bus's front entrance door. Passengers were safely evacuated through the emergency exit.
