Sky Force BTS: DOP shares detailed account of shooting Adampur action sequence from the Akshay Kumar starrer
Sky Force, which is inspired by true events, is an aerial war drama that explores the lives of Indian Air-Force officers. Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role along with Veer Pahariya marking his acting debut, the film delves into India's first airstrike, the Sargodha airbase attack of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. Considering the multiple historical references, the makers had to recreate the locations that resembles the era and underwent extreme prep and challenges. Sharing a detailed account of the same, the cinematographer Santhakrishnan shared a social media post.

Taking to his Instagram page, Santhakrishnan revealed anecdotes and trivia of how they managed to create the 60s era in 2024 and the details of lighting, camera, strategy and others by posting a series of photos and notes. He made references to some particular sequences like Adampur Action Sequence and the night scene at Hakimpet Airbase, among others. Along with that he also shared a note that read, ““SKYFORCE,” the film we shot last year, was a truly unforgettable experience. We completed this monumental project in just 52 days, a feat that would not have been possible without the collaboration of the production especially @poovijan & @atlyas , direction, cinematography, production design, and costume teams. Their collective effort helped bring the magic to life on screen. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Air Force, whose support and involvement were crucial to the successful execution of the film. #SkyForce in cinemas near you.”
Along with Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya as Indian air-force officers, the film also features Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur as the leading ladies. The film is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur. Celebrating the stories of national heroes, the war drama released around the occasion of India’s Republic Day, on January 24.
