Shane's List of Domains at Auction for Monday, May 19th, 2025
I was talking to someone about what makes a man mature (a woman as well). One of the key points we agreed on was the ability to feel genuine joy from the success of others. Many of my friends and I are high achiever-driven people. That drive usually centers around personal goals, and our joy often comes from achieving them. Often, it’s about making money. Not necessarily spending it, but tracking it, watching it grow.
When you’re young, that joy might come from sports, grades, or how many friends you have. But as you begin to reach your goals—or your goals become so big they’re hard to define-you start to find joy in helping others reach theirs. Especially your kids and family. It stops being about you and starts being about them.
It’s not always the case, but we agreed: if you meet a man with no spouse or kids, his goals are usually 100% personal. If he’s married, he’ll likely have shared goals around the marriage or retirement. And if he has kids, his personal goals still exist but they become tied to what he can do for his family. To give them something: happiness, opportunity, stability, love.
That doesn’t mean someone without a family has bad goals, or that they’re immature or selfish. It’s just part of a life progression—how your goals evolve over time and what you’re trying to achieve.
My goals now are about giving my parents a great last quarter of life, a strong first quarter for my daughter, and a life full of happiness for my wife and me. Money is certainly part of that, it’s the backbone of a lot of it. But what I spend it on, and who I spend it for, has changed.
I want my mom to see things she’s never seen. I want to take walks with my dad and talk about anything but business. I want my daughter to know she can do anything she wants, and if she fails, it’s okay. She can try again.
You can imagine what kind of life that become when you not only build your own joy, but get to add the joy of 5 to 10 other people. Mailbox joy coming in all day and night. Happiness is an underrated currency, and in many cases, it’s harder to earn than a paycheck.
My goal from here on out is to cash checks from both.

. We We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links.
