A severe weather outbreak looks likely across the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee valleys Friday into Friday night. Several strong tornadoes (rated EF2 or higher) will be possible, along with the potential for damaging wind gusts in excess of 75 mph and very large hail up to the size of softballs. Areas most at risk include St. Louis, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville and Evansville. This dangerous threat will continue Friday night, so make sure your cellphones are charged and you have multiple ways to receive warnings while you are sleeping.
