Salman Khan to Host Bigg Boss 19

Rumors circulated earlier this year suggesting that Bigg Boss 19 might be delayed due to Banijay Asia's potential withdrawal from producing the show. However, a recent report on Thursday, May 22, 2025, indicates that the Salman Khan-hosted reality show is scheduled to commence airing in July.
According to Gossips TV, Bigg Boss 19 is projected to span approximately six months, beginning towards the end of July 2025 and continuing through January 2026. This would also result in the cancellation of Bigg Boss OTT for the year. Bigg Boss Season 14 currently holds the record for the longest-running season, with 142 days, closely followed by Season 13, which lasted 141 days. If the latest report is accurate, Bigg Boss 19 will surpass both, establishing itself as the longest season to date with its six-month duration.
The selection of contestants for Bigg Boss 19 and whether celebrities will commit to such an extended stay in the house remains to be seen. Typically, Bigg Boss starts in September or October and concludes in January, but this season is reportedly set to begin earlier in July.
On Thursday, Bollywood Hungama reported that Salman Khan is in discussions with the producers of Kaun Banega Crorepati to potentially succeed Amitabh Bachchan as the host. This news has prompted fans to encourage him to leave Bigg Boss and host KBC instead.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is preparing to star in Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming film, based on the Galwan Valley Conflict. Filming for this project is reportedly scheduled to begin in July this year, although no official announcement has been made. His last appearance was in the movie Sikandar, which did not perform well at the box office.
