36-year old DR Congolese center Pitchou Kambuyi (208-C-1988) put on an amazing game in the last round for Tigers BB Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 16 points and 25 rebounds, while his team lost the game against UGB (#5, 6-6) 94-100. Tigers moved-up to the 4th position in Rwandan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tigers will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 8-6 record. Kambuyi just recently signed at Tigers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kambuyi has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 16.7rpg) and averages solid 2.5bpg and 59.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was David Nickelberry (201-G/F-1998). He is American swingman in his first season at Tigers. In the last game Nickelberry recorded an impressive double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Tigers BB Kigali lost that game

94-100 to slightly lower-ranked UGB (#5, 6-6). This loss caused Tigers to drop to 4th position in the standings. His team's 8-6 record is not bad at all. Nickelberry is one of the most experienced players at Tigers and similarly like Pitchou Kambuyi has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 8.6rpg and 3.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Aliou Diarra (200-F-2001) of league's leader

APR Basketball Club Kigali. Diarra scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Diarra's great performance the APR lost 62-71 to #3 ranked Patriots. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. That was shocking loss for APR and their fans. Hopefully so far almost perfect season will not turn around. They still have impressive 15-1 record in the league holding top position in the standings. Diarra plays for a very strong team and APR has many quality players. So achieving that high stats is even more impressive. Diarra has a great season in Rwanda. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.4ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 11.4rpg (3rd best). He also has 2.7bpg and a FGP of 68.8%.

5. Eric Kayondo (C) of UGB - 13 points and 8 rebounds
6. Gabriel Ndoba (F) of UGB - 13 points and 14 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
