Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson Collaboration
Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, and Lainey Wilson collaborated to perform their new song, “Trailblazer,” at the 60th ACM Awards on May 8th. The trio, composed of the 18-time ACM host McEntire, ACM history's most awarded artist, and the current Entertainer of the Year Wilson, had announced the debut of their collaboration just a day before the event in Texas. Dressed in matching Western attire, they presented a tribute to pioneering women in country music.
According to a press release, “Trailblazer” celebrates the strength, resilience, and individuality of female artists, blending vivid imagery and deep emotion to honor their legacy and express gratitude for the paths they forged. Lambert and Wilson co-wrote the song with Brandy Clark, while McEntire and Tony Brown produced it.
The ACM Awards commenced with a performance titled “Songs of the Decades,” featuring McEntire, Clint Black, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, and Little Big Town, paying homage to 60 years of ACM Songs of the Year. The event also included performances by numerous artists, including Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Alan Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Ella Langley, Eric Church, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Megan Moroney, Rascal Flatts, Shaboozey, and Zach Top.
Presenters at the awards included Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, Blake Shelton, Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Carly Pearce, Crystal Gayle, ERNEST, Gabby Barrett, Gretchen Wilson, Jordan Davis, Lee Ann Womack, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, Rita Wilson, Sara Evans, The Oak Ridge Boys, NASCAR driver Chase Elliott, and podcast hosts Amber Anderson and Kelly Sutton. Bobby Bones from iHeartRadio conducted interviews with artists throughout the event.
McEntire, a 16-time ACM winner, hosted the show for the 18th time, held at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, the headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys.
