Nate Smith's Fierce On-Stage Performance
Nate Smith energized the Moody Center stage at the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival presented by Capital One in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, May 3rd. The award-winning country star performed hits from his debut and sophomore albums, including “Bulletproof,” “Whiskey On You,” “Fix What You Didn’t Break,” and “World on Fire.”
Smith, the 2024 Academy of Country Music New Male Artist of the Year, released his self-titled debut record and its deluxe edition in April 2023, followed by California Gold in October 2024. His recent collaboration with HARDY, “Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend,” features actor and comedian Kevin James in the music video.
In a previous interview with iHeartCountry, Smith expressed that releasing new music after a successful debut album can be daunting, emphasizing the importance of strong songs. He mentioned his plans to write and record music for his third album at the beginning of the year, aiming for a raw, real, transparent, and organic sound, likely more acoustic-driven.
The 2025 iHeartCountry Festival also featured performances by Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Rascal Flatts, Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Megan Moroney, Bailey Zimmerman, and special guest Dasha, who performed “Austin.” The Daytime Village stage included performances by Smith, Moroney, Matt Stell, Tucker Wetmore, and Dasha.
The iHeartCountry Festival was available for viewers and listeners via Hulu, 122 iHeartCountry stations nationwide, and the iHeartRadio app, hosted by iHeartRadio’s Bobby Bones.
