In a key decision aimed at accelerating industrial development in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved the allocation of 47.07 hectares of land for the establishment of a Stone Park in Bundi district. The land is located in Kachhalia village of Talera tehsil and will be allotted to the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO).

This initiative follows the state’s Budget Announcement for the year 2025–26 and reflects the government’s focus on promoting region-specific industries, encouraging investment, and creating employment opportunities for local communities. The development of the Stone Park is expected to serve as a dedicated industrial zone for mineral-based industries, especially those focused on stone processing and value addition.

According to official information, the land allocation has been made under Section 92 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, and Rule 11A of the Rajasthan Land Revenue (Allotment for Industrial Areas) Rules, 1959. The government has clearly specified that only non-polluting industrial units will be permitted within the park. These units will be established at a minimum distance of 1.5 kilometers from the nearest residential settlements, ensuring environmental and public safety standards are met.

The Bundi region is known for its rich reserves of natural stone and mineral resources. The establishment of the Stone Park is expected to streamline industrial activity related to stone processing, including cutting, polishing, and manufacturing of stone-based products. The availability of a well-defined industrial space will not only attract new investors but also help existing small and medium-scale stone units to operate in a more organized manner.

The park will provide essential infrastructure and support services such as access to roads, water, electricity, and waste management, which are critical for industrial operations. By consolidating industrial units in a designated zone, the park will also facilitate regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

One of the major anticipated outcomes of the Stone Park is job creation. The project is likely to generate direct and indirect employment for local youth in areas such as stone cutting, machinery operation, transport, and ancillary services. Additionally, the presence of organized industrial infrastructure will encourage entrepreneurship and skill development in the surrounding areas.

The initiative aligns with the broader vision of the Rajasthan government to transform the state into an industrial hub through targeted policy interventions, strategic infrastructure development, and proactive investor facilitation.
