Qatar - Cleanthony-Early-ex-Brothers-joins-Al-Arabi
Al Arabi Club Doha (QBL) agreed terms with 33-year old American forward Cleanthony Early (203cm-99kg-1991, college: Wichita State). Early started the season at Brothers in Mongolian MBL league. In three games he had very impressive stats: 36.0ppg, 7.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg.
In 2014 he was drafted by New York Knicks (NBA) in second round (34th overall). He graduated from Wichita State and it is his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Early is quite experienced player. Early's career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in sixteen different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. Early has played previously professionally also in Bahrain (Al-Ittihad), Dominican Republic (Parque Hostos), France (Olympique Antibes), Greece, Hungary (Atomeromu), Iraq (Al-Hashd), Japan, Lebanon (Sagesse, Al Markaziyyah and Dynamo), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli, Al Nasr and Ohod), South Africa (Tigers), Taiwan (New Taipei CTBC DEA and TB Herobears), Venezuela (Gladiadores), Kuwait (Kazma), Libya (Al Ittihad Tri and Al Nasr) and The Basketball Tournament (Aftershocks).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Libyan League Group 4 Regular Season in 2024. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com Japanese B League D2 All-Imports Team back in 2019. He played also for Sullivan County Community College for 2 years.
