Qatar - Al-Arabi-welcomes-back-Eldridge-ex-US-Monastir
Defending champion Al Arabi Club Doha (QBL) inked experienced 36-year old American 191cm swingman Osiris Eldridge (college: Illinois State). It is actually his comeback to Doha as he has played here before. Eldridge moved there from US Monastir in Tunisian ProA where he played this season.
In 2011 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Dakota Wizards (D-League) in first round (12th overall).
The former Illinois State star is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Eldridge has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in France (Gravelines Dunkerque and Boulazac Basket), Germany (s Oliver Baskets), Lebanon (Al Markaziyyah), Turkey (Pinar Karsiyaka, Trabzonspor, Denizli, Buyukcekmece and Haremspor), NBA G League (NAZ Suns) and The Basketball Tournament (Eberlein Drive). Eldridge won Qatari League championship title in 2025. He was voted to MVC All-Defensive Team back in 2009 and 2010.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Al Arabi.
