Pull&Bear expands BFC Newgen project with two exclusive capsules at Selfridges

Reinforcing its commitment to emerging talent, Pull&Bear is advancing its BFC Newgen program, an initiative backed by the British Fashion Council. As part of this project, the brand is introducing two limited-edition collections created by designers selected from its Canvas for Creativity platform. For this inaugural phase, Chet Lo and Johanna Parv have been chosen to reinterpret their aesthetics within the Pull&Bear universe.

The collections will debut on February 17, coinciding with London Fashion Week, through a special installation at Selfridges and on its official website. They will also be available for purchase starting February 19 on Pull&Bear’s online platform.

Developed in close collaboration with Pull&Bear’s creative team, the capsules stay true to the brand’s identity while merging innovation with urban style. Both collections place a strong emphasis on functionality and textile experimentation.

Johanna Parv described the partnership as “an exciting opportunity to work with materials on a large scale, combining technical innovation with commercial accessibility.”

Her collection, designed with practicality and versatility in mind, offers a sophisticated unisex selection featuring technical fabrics and ergonomic silhouettes. For Parv, this project “proves that functional luxury can thrive in mainstream fashion, and that material and construction innovation doesn’t have to be niche.”

Meanwhile, Chet Lo, known for his disruptive and futuristic aesthetic, has crafted a bold, avant-garde collection using premium materials such as organza, leather, and silk. With a predominantly black colour palette punctuated by electric blue accents, his capsule explores voluminous silhouettes and dynamic textures, playing with movement and light. Reflecting on the experience, the designer called the collaboration “eye-opening” and saw London as the perfect launchpad: “It’s the epicenter of rebellion, a city where creators can truly express themselves.”

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Narón, Spain, Pull&Bear is part of Inditex, the Spanish fashion conglomerate behind Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara, Zara Home, and Lefties. According to the group’s latest financial report, Inditex recorded €18.06 billion in revenue in the first half of fiscal 2024, marking a 7.2% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
