PSG Beat Reims to Seal Domestic Double, One Win from Historic Treble
Paris Saint-Germain secured the French Cup with a dominant 3-0 victory over Reims, moving one step closer to a historic treble. With the Ligue 1 title already wrapped up, the French giants will now turn their focus to the Champions League final against Inter Milan in Munich next Saturday.
Bradley Barcola struck twice in quick succession to give PSG early control, scoring in the 16th minute with a driven finish before adding a second three minutes later from close range.
Achraf Hakimi extended the lead before half-time, turning in a cross at the back post. Despite second-half chances for Ousmane Dembélé, PSG were unable to add further goals but comfortably saw out the win.Manager Luis Enrique, who previously guided Barcelona to a treble in 2015, could become only the second coach to achieve the feat twice, alongside Pep Guardiola, who is currently the only manager who has won two Trebles, with Barcelona in 2009 and Manchester City in 2023.If PSG prevail in Munich, they will join an elite group of just 10 clubs to have won their domestic league, domestic cup, and the European Cup in the same season.
