The Progressives Forum (TPF) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to its national leader, Barr Ismaeel Ahmed, on “his well-deserved appointment” as executive chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi) by President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement on Friday by the Forum’s interim national chairman, Abuh Andrew and Segun Tomori, interim national secretary respectively, it said, “This appointment is a well-earned recognition of Barr Ahmed’s longstanding contributions to the growth and success of the All Progressives Congress (APC), especially his instrumental role in establishing a vibrant youth wing — the All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF) — which later evolved into The Progressives Forum (TPF).
“As a former senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), Barr Ahmed demonstrated exceptional leadership by effectively overseeing the implementation of key intervention initiatives targeted at uplifting the most vulnerable Nigerians.”
The Forum noted that in his capacity as the former national youth representative on the defunct APC National Caretaker Committee, he energised the party’s youth structure through innovative ideas and programmes that brought young people to the forefront of party politics and national discourse.
“We sincerely thank President Bola Tinubu for this visionary appointment and we are confident that Barr Ahmed would not only meet but exceed the expectations in delivering on the mandate of PCNGi,” the forum said.
