The President, John Dramani Mahama, has officially opened the 2025 Kwahu Business Forum in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region. The theme for this year’s second edition is “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony, he urged Ghanaians to view the Easter celebrations as an opportunity to build businesses, not just to have fun. He also emphasized the need for citizens to think beyond traditional trading and explore other entrepreneurial ventures, including large-scale farming and production.
President Mahama highlighted the potential of the Afram Plains area, noting that it forms part of the government’s development agenda. He further commended the presence of the Majority and Minority Leaders in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga and Alexander Afenyo Markin respectively, describing their attendance as a testament to the non-partisan nature of the event.
According to President Mahama, he envisions a Ghana where young people can find employment opportunities in their hometowns, reducing the need for them to migrate elsewhere in search of jobs.
The 2025 Kwahu Business Forum aims to bring together stakeholders to discuss strategies for promoting entrepreneurship and economic development in Ghana.
