President Donald Trump takes a dig at Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen; AFM denounces the politician | - The Times of India
US President Donald J. Trump attacked the singers Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen in a series of online claims - again.
In a Truth Social post, Trump called epithets at Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen at a random hour. Without any context or prior announcement, Trump posted, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’” He made a comment during his ongoing tour in the Middle East, belittling Swift, the singer who openly supported his opponent, Kamala Harris, during the 2024 election.
Previously, the 78-year-old politician remarked and mocked the 36-year-old singer during the Super Bowl, where she was booed by his fans. Along with Taylor Swift, the President also took a dig at Bruce Springsteen for supporting Radical Left politics, citing that if he wasn’t elected, the country could have been ‘GONE by now.’
“I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States,” Trump stated before continuing, “Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country.”“If I wasn’t elected, it (the country) would have been GONE by now!” said the 78-year-old Republican, as he continued in the post.
While Swift or Springsteen did not make any comment, the President of the American Federation of Musicians did denounce Donald Trump. President Tino Gagliardi stated that the federation won’t remain silent upon its members getting attacked. “The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada will not remain silent as two of our members, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift, are singled out and personally attacked by the President of the United States,” he said. Additionally, he praised both musicians for their significant cultural contributions and global impact, citing that they have the right to speak their minds.
