Presenting 2025 All-Main Line boys lacrosse teams

The Main Line high school boys’ lacrosse scene was as strong as ever this past spring. In the Nike/USA Lacrosse High School Boys National Rankings, Haverford School (17-4 overall) was ranked No. 10 and Malvern Prep (18-8 overall) 11th. Haverford School, Malvern Prep and Episcopal Academy were tri-champions of the Inter-Ac with matching 8-2 league records. Radnor (20-5) advanced to the PIAA 3A state championship game, where they lost to Springfield by two goals.
The All-Main Line high school boys’ lacrosse teams are selected by the coaches. Because Main Line Media News covers 19 high schools, the Main Line Media News sports staff limits the number of sports available to first team, second team and honorable mention – but follows the priority of the coaches’ selections.What follows are the 2025 All-Main Line high school boys’ lacrosse teams:
FIRST TEAM
Michael Johnson, Conestoga – Senior goalie, a repeat first team pick as well as the Pioneers’ Most Valuable Player for the second year, was an All-Central League selection and recorded 187 saves and a .640 save percentage. Will play for Division I Hobart next spring.
Evan MacFarland, Episcopal Academy – Senior long stick middie, the Most Valuable Player of the Inter-Ac as well as an All-American and all-state selection, caused 53 opponent turnovers and collected 57 ground balls. Will play for Georgetown University next spring.
Jackson Orcutt, Episcopal Academy – Junior midfielder, an All-American, all state and All-InterAc selection, tallied 39 goals and dished out 20 assists. Will play for Georgetown University next spring.
Paul Bruder, Episcopal Academy – Senior defender, an all-state and All-InterAc selection, caused 34 opponent turnovers and caollected 29 ground balls. Will play for Penn State next spring.
Wade Devitis, Haverford High – Senior goalie and captain, a first team All-Central League selection, recorded 226 saves and valuable leadership. Will play for Stevenson University next spring.
Gavin Cooper, Haverford School – Senior defender, an All-American, all-state and All-Inter-Ac selection, was voted MVP of the Fords and was top-rated defender in the league. Considered to be the backbone of the Haverford squad.
Griff Meyer, Haverford School – Senior faceoff, an All-Americam, all-state and All-InterAc selection, won 71 percent of his faceoffs and collected 11 ground balls. Also supplied some key offense (six goals, four assists) while being the top-rated faceoff man in the league.
Conor Morsell, Haverford School – Sophomore attack, an all-state and All-InterAc selection, led the Fords in points (38 goals, 31 assists) and was the leader of the team’s offense. Noted for his impact on the offensive end of the field throughout the league.
Jake Bickel, Malvern Prep – Senior midfielder, an All-American, all state and All-InterAc selection, was the Friars’ Most Valuable Player, scored 37 goals and dished out 37 assists. Will play for Georgetown University next spring.
Mike Ortlieb, Malvern Prep – Senior attack, an All-American, Academic All-American, all-state and All-InterAc selection, scored 52 goals, dished out 26 assists and collected 28 ground balls. Will play for Duke University next spring.
Will Tantillo, Malvern Prep – Senior short stick defensive midfielder, an All-American all-state and All-InterAc selection, caused 31 opponent turnovers, collected 87 ground balls and provided some offense. Will play for Duke University next spring.
Tyler Vitale, Radnor – Senior midfielder, an All-American, all-state and first team All-Central League pick, tallied 26 goals and dished out 17 assists for the PIAA 3A state runnerups.
Sawyer Smith, Radnor – Senior midfielder, and all-state and first team All-Central League selection, tallied 43 goals and dished out 25 assists for the PIAA 3A state runnerups.
Tommy Goldstein, Radnor – Junior attack, an all-state and first team All-Central League selection, tallied 48 goals and dished out 45 assists for the PIAA 3A state runnerups.
SECOND TEAM
Archbishop Carroll – Ronan Finley, junior midfielder.
Conestoga – Holt McGinn, senior middie; Gunnar Flesher, junior defender.
Devon Prep – Zach Sebra, senior faceoff; Ryan Kane, senior midfielder.

Harriton – Will Short, junior attack/midfielder.
Haverford High – Quinn McGloin, senior defender; Nills McCallion, junior attack/midfielder; Kristos McKendry, senior attack.
Haverford School – Evan Large, senior midfielder; Finn French, sophomore midfielder; Kellen Gardner, senior defender; Charlie Halpert, senior defender.
Lower Merion – Peter Bard, senior defender.
Malvern Prep – Logan Turley, senior midfielder; Jack Carroll, senior defender; Owen Mears, senior midfielder.
Radnor – Jake Barber, senior defender; Finn Petrone, sophomore attack; Justin Odorisio, senior defender; Logan Montrella, senior faceoff; Teddy Curry, freshman goalie.
