Silchar: A 26-year-old man lost his life after a motorcycle he was pillion riding crashed into a stationary truck in Sribhumi's Ratabari on Sunday, reports BB Goswami.The deceased, identified as Amit, who was riding pillion on his friend Jaydeep Roy's motorcycle.

Jaydeep is a bank employee from the locality.The accident occurred near Telikhal, where their motorcycle rammed into a stationary truck parked along the road. The impact of the collision fatally injured Amit, who reportedly suffered massive head trauma and died on the spot. Amit was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.Jaydeep sustained serious injuries but survived and is receiving treatment at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
