Everyone and their mother knows just how bad of a position the Suns are in when it comes to their draft capital. They were not able to recoup their future picks from the Rockets deal for Durant.
There is another way for the Suns to up their draft capital, at least for this year. They could do that at the expense of their recently-acquired number 10 pick.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a team with too many picks for their own good. With three selections in the 2025 NBA Draft, and few to no rosters spots to house them, the Thunder will be forced to make some sort of move.
Jake Fischer has suggested this could make the Suns and Thunder very natural trade partners ahead of their selections. The NBA insider highlighted that in his latest rumor mill roundup.

If the Suns can grab an extra pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and still get their guy, that is a move they cannot pass up. The Thunder may be poised to offer that opportunity to them.
