Pedestrian crash shuts down I-65 north

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A crash involving a pedestrian shut down Interstate 65 North Monday evening.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reported a multi-vehicle crash at 7:17 p.m. at mile marker 105.6. All northbound lanes were closed and traffic was backed up for miles, according to TDOT SmartWay traffic maps.

Erin Zeigler, a TDOT communications officer, posted to X that a diversion has been set up at Exit 104.

The condition of the pedestrian is not known at this time, nor is it clear when the roadway will reopen. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene as is the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). News 2 has reached out to the THP for more information.
