The committee, which previously faced tensions that led to a Minority walkout, eventually reached a consensus that all twelve nominees had met the necessary qualifications for their respective roles.

This decision clears a major hurdle ahead of a final parliamentary vote.

Among those set for approval is Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, alongside Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu, Minister-designate for the Savannah Region, and Wilbert Petty Brentum, Minister-designate for the Western North Region.

Others include Joseph Nelson for the Western Region, Joseph Addae Akwaboa for the Bono Region, Francis Owusu Antwi for the Bono East Region, and Puozuing Charles Lwanga for the Upper West Region.

The Appointments Committee’s recommendation now shifts the focus to Parliament’s plenary session, where the House will cast a final vote on the nominees.

Given the consensus reached, their approval is widely expected to be a formality, barring any last-minute opposition.
