PAMPANGA will now be the host of the FIBA U16 Asia Cup SEABA qualifiers to be held from May 24 to 30.

The tournament will be played at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, according to the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, after it was initially announced by the Southeast Asian Basketball Association that Batangas will stage the event.

SBP executive director Erika Dy and event director Butch Antonio met with Pampanga governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda to make the hosting official.

The Philippines will be vying for two slots in the FIBA U16 Asia Cup this year in Mongolia.
