In a statement made available to Saturday Sun, Chief Ukwa noted that Otti’s accomplishments in a period of two years have surpassed his predecessors, adding that he has brought his wealth of experience as a financial manager to bear in the development of the state. 

“He’s disciplined and a visionary governor.  He came with an agenda to reposition the state and set it on the path of economic development; so, everything he has been doing reflects this.

“I’ve also looked at his records before he became a governor; his records as an administrator in financial institutions are a testimony that he’s a disciplined and well-articulated administrator. So, based on that, I’m going to support him and also calling on my fellow Abia people to follow suit irrespective of the party he would choose to pitch his political tent. My decision is based on him as a person not on party basis.

“His prudent and judicial use of government funds is evident in the state. He has been a model for the other governors to copy,” Ukwa said.
