Obinna claims Kenyans could've contributed over KSh 10m for Albert's dad if he'd ignored Ruto
They also raised money for the family to help in preparing for the slain blogger's burial.
What angered many was when Albert's father thanked President William Ruto on camera for donating KSh 2 million to Ojwang.
A section of the public felt betrayed, as they had accused the very government led by Ruto of Ojwang's killing, as he died in the hands of a government agency.
Obinna felt the public's contribution would have surpassed KSh 10 million if Albert's dad had not accepted the KSh 2 million donations and the house that Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga offered to build for him.
Speaking to the family's spokesperson on his show, the content creator argued that Opiyo's move to accept Ruto's donation and publicly thank him wasn't a smart one.
"If Albert's dad didn't take the KSh 2 million donation or the house, the contribution would have surpassed KSh 10 million. If he didn't take that money and had hit the street when Boniface Kariuku (the mask seller) was shot, Kenyans would have crossed the oceans. They could have died for and with him. But the minute he started that I want to thank President Ruto, Kenyans pulled back. That was not a very smart move at that moment, but everybody has their reason. That brought the discourse.

Obinna warned that Albert's funeral could be chaotic due to self-interest by politicians.
"Even the funeral, don't expect it to be smooth. There are going to be loggerheads. Politicians will come with their people and will want them to speak for their interests, and forget the family," she said.
Nyakwar Nyaimbo:
"Obinna thank you for telling them the truth."
Denniley Rebecca Machuki:
"Tell them the truth, Kenyans were so ready for him."
Nyar Ochieng:
"Game over Obinna. You've nailed it."
DOUBLE M:
"Instead of thanking Kenyans who not only contributed and also went on the streets, he thanked Kasongo."
aliciahmoraa:
"That is the bitter truth. The moment Alisema president amesimama na yeye wakenya wakakaa chini."
Elsewhere, comedian Eric Omondi felt betrayed after Opiyo accepted the president's donation.
Eric had rallied his fans to raise money for Albert's family, and the response was good.
He argued that it was a step backwards from the progress Kenyans had made in demanding justice for the slain blogger.
