The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) Monday announced a revenue haul of N6 trillion in May 2025, as the new management sustained transparency campaigns which started last month with the release of key financial data of the oil firm.

The monthly report summary for May 2025, released by the company, showed a significant surge in its monthly earnings, as the company remitted N5.5 trillion to the federal government between January and April this year.

In its previous report, N4.7 trillion was remitted to the Federation Account in the first three months of the year. This implies that the remittance increased by N800 billion in May, which is less than the monthly average of N1.5 trillion between January and March.

While the company made N6 trillion in May, its profit after tax was N1.054 trillion.

The report shows crude oil and condensate production averaged 1.63 million barrels per day in May, with a peak of 1.72 million barrels per day achieved during the month. Natural gas production also remained robust at 7,352 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd), supporting both domestic supply and export commitments.

The company maintained high upstream pipeline availability at 98 per cent, while strategic infrastructure projects such as the OB3 and AKK pipelines advanced to 96 per cent and 81 per cent completion, respectively.

NNPC also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve asset reliability, including turnaround maintenance of critical pipelines and flow stations, and continued collaboration with technical partners to address production bottlenecks.
