Disney Plus has just dropped a new short featurette on Andor Season 2. The short video includes loads of new footage, plus comments from Tony Gilroy and the cast about the trials to come. Titled “Andor Season 2: A Special Look”, it strikes a vastly different tone than what last week’s trailer delivered with its musical choice that sparked some debate online. Since the video isn’t publicly available online yet, go ahead and check it out on Disney Plus, and feel free to come back.
The video opens with calls for help as the galaxy gets more and more dangerous under Imperial rule. Cut to Cassian Andor. Tony Gilroy explains the new landscape our hero finds himself in:
“Revolutionary movements are spontaneously happening all over the galaxy. How those come together is the stuff of our story… These 12 episodes are gonna take us over the next four years into Rogue One. The complexity of the show, the possibilities of the show. It has to be all in.”
And what’s sure to appease many, closed captioning appears to once and for all confirm that the Ghorman Massacre will be shown in Season 2.
Also, D’Qar? That D’Qar? Less than 100 percent confirmed, but boy are there some strong similarities.

In addition, there’s a few behind-the-scenes looks that sell the scale of the show. Diego Luna praises the level of craftsmanship that went into the series, saying everyone “takes their time and you can tell.” All-in-all, this new featurette sells an action-packed and dramatic season that will throw every character in the lion’s den.

Andor Season 2 premieres April 22 on Disney Plus with the first three episodes. This season is broken up into four chapters of three episodes, with each taking us another year closer until we reach the events of Rogue One. Every week will see a new chapter released. I hope everyone is ready for what’s essentially four Andor movies!
Once again, you can find this new featurette on Disney Plus. I imagine it will be released on official Star Wars social channels, too, at some point. Also in the news, Andor will take center stage at this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Japan. It will have a panel on Saturday, April 19. Read more about that here.
