Well, it is a prestigious recognition of being a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, class of 2026.The Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer has been announced as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He joins the elite class alongside Timothée Chalamet, Demi Moore, Deepika Padukone, Emily Blunt, and others.The 7’1” basketball giant has done a fair share of work in films, TV, and OTT. His strong personality and screen presence earned him roles in the silver screen and TV projects at his prime. The NBA legend has been a bona fide entertainer with a long list of films, TV drama shows, guest appearances, and OTT docuseries in his filmography.

His sports analysis show, Inside the NBA, recently ended its 35-year run at TNT.

Walk of Fame - Class of 2026 Announcement

The stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame were announced by HCC President and CEO Steve Nissen and Walk of Famers Eugenio Derbez and Richard Blade on July 2. Among the various names adorning the Walk of Fame is the basketball legend, Shaquille O’Neal.He is the only honoree to have been inducted into the prestigious Walk in the sports entertainment category.

The NBA legend has a vast presence that extends beyond basketball. Other notable figures included in the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026 are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rami Malek, Bradley Whitford, Noah Wyle, Keith David, Molly Ringwald, Rachel McAdams, and Marion Cotillard.He is known for his pivotal role in the 1996 film Kazaam, where he played the role of a magical entity. In 1997, he appeared in another film, Steel, as a weapons expert.

He also delivered comedic performances in Grown Ups 2 and Uncle Drew. Apart from these, Shaquille has played himself in various films and made guest appearances.

Shaquille’s career in entertainment is not restricted to films only. He is a well-known TV personality as well. An ESPN series, Shaquille (2005), was based entirely on his life on and off the court. After retirement in 2011, he became an important part of the experts panel on TNT’s Inside the NBA show. His other TV projects include guest appearances in shows like The Parkers, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Entourage, and The Cleveland Show etc.Some of his famous documentaries and docuseries include HBO’s SHAQ and Netflix’s Power Moves. These projects affirm his vast presence beyond basketball.Shaquille proved his excellence in both the comedy and drama genres. His work in the field of cinema and TV extends behind the camera as well. He owns a production company, Jersey Legends Productions. Under this banner, Shaquille teamed with Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton as executive producers for a short film, Queen of Basketball.
