She explained that they were all excited for the New Year and had even gone to church together on that fateful night.

“We came back home that night, and everyone, including Megan, went to bed. However, when I went to check on her the following morning, she was not there,” the distraught mother said.

Mugo said she initially assumed her daughter had gone to the shop, only for hours to pass without her returning.

She noted that they searched for five consecutive days but did not find her.

They combed the entire Maili Sita area in Bahati, Nakuru, and spoke to her friends, but no one had seen her.

The distraught mother revealed that Megan was set to join Form Three in January at Heshima Secondary School.

She expressed the immense mental stress the ordeal has caused her, noting that she is still hopeful her daughter will return home.
