Preliminary reports indicate that the blaze may have been caused by an electrical fault.

Eyewitnesses reported chaotic scenes as residents scrambled to escape the rapidly spreading fire.

In one heartbreaking moment, a woman was heard crying out that her neighbour was still trapped inside the burning building.

"My neighbour is inside. They have locked themselves," she cried.

The fire also left several residents displaced, with many losing their homes and personal belongings in the inferno.

Videos circulating on social media captured the panic as residents fled for safety, highlighting the scale of the destruction.

Authorities are yet to issue an official response regarding the tragic fire incident, as investigations into the cause continue.

Meanwhile, this incident comes just weeks after another fierce fire swept through Kibra, claiming the lives of eight people, including four members of the same family.

Kibra MP Peter Orero confirmed that six others sustained serious injuries while attempting to escape and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The Kenya Red Cross, in collaboration with community members and the Nairobi Fire Brigade, mounted a swift rescue operation to save those trapped in the blaze.

The response teams, working alongside Eagle Hospital, provided emergency care to at least 20 people who were injured during the fire. Authorities reported that more than 40 households were affected by the tragedy.
