- Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi has expressed confidence in President William Ruto's re-election in 2027.

During Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations to mark the end of Ramadhan in Malindi, Mudavadi ruled out the possibility of Ruto being defeated in the upcoming 2027 General Elections.

Mudavadi stated that he has been in politics for a long time and that, according to his prediction, Ruto will easily be re-elected in 2017.

“I have been in politics for a long time, and I have looked at it, and I want to tell you it will be very difficult to beat William Ruto in 2027,” Mudavadi said.

In his argument, Mudavadi cited the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ruto and Raila Odinga's ODM party.

Mudavadi wondered how Gen Zs and the opposition led by former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua would defeat a team comprising of Ruto and Raila.

“It is the right of all Kenyans to speak their mind, but I want to say that it will be very difficult. They have united in broad-based, and some people still think they can beat them,” he wondered.
