Charles Dale students crowned national champions at Women's History Month Quiz Competition

Charles Dale Memorial International School (CDMIS) has once again distinguished itself by securing the National Championship at the Women’s History Month Quiz Competition. The event, organized by EducationUSA and held at the US Consulate General in Lagos on March 27, 2025, saw Vera Opuada-Hart and Adangor Owaji-Mijanra represent CDMIS with exceptional skill and knowledge.
The students were lauded by Amanda Roach Brown, Deputy Public Affairs Officer (DPAO) of the United States Consulate General, Lagos, and Chinenye Uwadileke, Education Specialist, for their remarkable understanding of women’s historical contributions. Their victory not only underscores their individual capabilities but also highlights CDMIS’s dedication to comprehensive education that extends beyond traditional academics.
Throughout the competition, Vera and Adangor demonstrated impressive teamwork and critical thinking. In the semifinals, they triumphed over Welkin’s School by answering questions focused on women in sports, entertainment, and history. The final round saw them compete against Apt International School, where they excelled in categories such as women in literacy, business, and public service, ultimately clinching the title of National Champions.
