AURORA, Colo. — A crash involving multiple vehicles, including a police car, has shut down an intersection near Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora.

In a social media post, the Aurora Police Department said "numerous" first responders are working the crash at the intersection of East Alameda Parkway and South Buckley Road.

Police said one vehicle caught fire immediately after the collision.

In an update, Aurora PD said four cars, including a police vehicle, were involved. The officer inside the police vehicle was uninjured.

Six people — three adults and three children — were injured in the crash. Aurora police said most suffered minor injuries, while an adult was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
