This has been set to ensure the event remains a solemn celebration of his life rather than a political platform.
The burial is scheduled for the 4th of next month, with only President William Ruto, the Church, and the family permitted to speak during the final send-off.
Injendi's family made the announcement during a requiem mass held at the family’s home in Lugusi, attended by close family members, friends, and leaders, including Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet.
The family explained that political leaders would have the opportunity to offer condolences on the 3rd, a day before the burial, but the main event would be reserved for honouring Injendi’s legacy.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Melvin Malulu, the eldest son of the late MP, made it clear that the funeral would not be turned into a political rally.
"We, as the family, appreciate all of you for coming here and mourning with us. Now, on that 4th, if you will not have spoken on the 3rd, let the 4th be for the family and the president," Melvin declared.
Melvin also revealed that Ruto had offered to provide air transport to bring the late MP’s body from Nairobi to Malava, a gesture the family deeply appreciated.
During the requiem mass, leaders present, including Kibet, praised Injendi as a visionary and dedicated leader who worked tirelessly for development.

However, they also echoed the family’s sentiments, urging politicians to refrain from using the burial as a campaign platform.
"Those people who will be transported to come and cheer for others, tell them this is not for the funeral of Moses Injendi Malulu. We want a funeral that will be peaceful," Kibet stated, stressing the need for respect and decorum.
The late MP’s body will be transported from Lee Funeral Home on the 1st for a service at South B Catholic Church in Nairobi.
Another service will be held at Malava Catholic Parish on the 2nd, followed by the burial on the 4th at his home in Lugusi.
As reported earlier, Injendi and his elder brother, Samuel Injendi, died within hours of one another.
The politician died on Monday, February 17, at Aga Khan University Hospital, one day after his brother died.
Samuel Injendi, an 80-year-old retired prisons officer, had been ill before passing away at Kakamega County General Hospital.
