Montana State Bobcats men beat Idaho State Bengals

BOZEMAN β€” Montana State started and ended Saturday's men's basketball game strong en route to a 74-69 Big Sky Conference win over Idaho State at Worthington Arena.

After ISU (11-13, 6-7 Big Sky) opened the game with a basket, the Bobcats (12-15, 7-7) went on an 14-1 run, and they led 24-10 with just under nine minutes left in the first half. The Bengals pulled within three a few minutes later and trailed 36-30 at halftime.

ISU took multiple leads in the second half, including 62-60 with 4 minutes, 11 seconds remaining. MSU responded with a 12-2 run to build an eight-point advantage with about 15 seconds left.

MSU's Jabe Mullins scored 16-plus points for the fourth straight game, finishing with 17 Saturday. Brandon Walker scored 15, Patrick McMahon had 11 and Max Agbonkpolo added 14 points and seven rebounds.
