Monster Hunter Series Producer Just Got a Big Promotion at Capcom
Ryozo Tsujimoto, a key producer at Capcom responsible for the Monster Hunter series, has received a big promotion after the company announced a personnel reshuffling. From 1st April, Tsujimoto, who currently serves as "deputy in charge of development divisions", will assume the Chief Product Officer position in charge of all of Capcom's development divisions.
The appointment comes as Yoichi Egawa, Executive Corporate Officer, who currently does the duties of the CPO role, has resigned (thanks, VGC). Egawa was also in charge of Capcom's lucrative pachinko business, although that valuable work will be foisted onto Capcom's COO, Haruhiro Tsujimoto, Ryozo's elder brother. Video games are a family business, after all!
Ryozo Tsujimoto has been with the firm since 1996, and we are certain the appointment is well-deserved. He's been working on the Monster Hunter series for decades now, notably serving as senior producer on the three most recent and highly successful entries: World, Rise, and Wilds.
