Monsoon LIVE Updates: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bengal And Delhi As Monsoon Intensifies
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in many states of the country. The department says that the pace of monsoon may increase in different parts of the country in the coming days. Heavy rains are expected in North-West, Central, East and Northeast India especially for the next seven days.
Light to moderate rains may occur in many parts of North-West India throughout the week, which will often be accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong winds blowing at a speed of 30–40 kmph.
Heavy rains may occur in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha in East and Central India from July 1 to July 4, while heavy rains are expected in the Vidarbha region on July 1 and 2. Rains may intensify in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on June 28 and then between July 1 and 2.
Heavy rainfall is expected in Gangetic-West Bengal till July 1, while similar conditions may develop in Bihar between July 1 and 4.
